It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Basil Joseph Tracey, age 75, at Pleasantville Towers on September 27, 2018. Predeceased by his father William and mother Marguerite. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife Dorothy, two sons Michael (Jenn) and Jonathan (Holly, Brandon, and Dylan), two sisters-in-law Lorene and Sylvia, four brothers-in-law Lorne (Sandra), Raymond (Jean), Keith, David (Denise), lifelong friend Paul Long, special cousin Paula Corbett, co-workers and friends. Thank you to the staff at the Waterford Hospital E2A and N2A and Pleasantville Towers 1SE and 4NW for your care and compassion during his stay there. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Sunday from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place from Caul's Chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018, interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. He loved and was loved.
