Advocate Harbor, N.S. – Rodrigue Babineau, 65, passed away at Bayview Memorial Health Centre in Advocate Harbour, NS, on Friday, September 28, 2018. Born in Acadieville, N.B., he was the son of the late Ernest Babineau and the late Régina (nee Goguen) of Acadieville, N.B. Rodrigue leaves behind three brothers, Léo-Paul of Scoudouc, Réginald (Elizabeth) of Shediac Bridge, Louis (Joanne) of Dieppe; two sisters, Anna Thériault (Maurice) of Moncton and Lina of Bouctouche; his special friend, Cathy McEachern of Amherst; his godmother, Yvonne Babineau; his godson, Ivan Brownell; also several aunts and other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Yolande Tower. Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Co-operative (3754 Route 134 in Shediac Bridge), on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Funeral will be celebrated at St-Jacques-le-Majeur RC Church (3091 Route 132 in Scoudouc), on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 3 p.m. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association (NB), St-Jacques-le-Majeur Parish or to a charity of your choice.
