Carl Bacon Coates
Carl Bacon Coates died peacefully in his sleep in Halifax on September 24, 2018, at the age of 86 and cremation has taken place.
Son of the late Orin and Lois (Fixott) Coates. Carl was predeceased by an older brother, Orin aka Buster and survived by younger, sister Lois (Grant) Bagnell.
Carl was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Prosser) with whom he had two daughters, Siobhan (Graham Street) Coates, and Patsy (Lars) MacDonald. Carl was the proud grandfather of his grandson, Paddy MacDonald.
His final instructions were clear and Carl's daughters, along with their spouses and grandson, will honour them and sprinkle his ashes with Carl Coates panache into the Bras d' Or Lakes at Marble Mountain on his beloved Cape Breton Island. Carl's final wish was that those left behind enjoy their lives to the fullest as he had and share a glass of wine with loved ones and think of him kindly.
