Edith Muise

Passed on: September 3rd, 2018

MUISE, Edith Lorette - Peacefully in her sleep, she went to be with her Lord in heaven, on Monday, September 3, 2018, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Muise (1984). Loved and cherished mother of Yvette Anne, Eric Muise (Dianne), and Karyn Fenner (Al). Dearly cherished grandmother of Derek, Ryan, Sean (Kristie), Matthew, Sydney, Michael (Nova), Joshua (Ivy), Ashley (Ray), Blaine, Cassandra and eleven great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother, Bradford Muise, of Nova Scotia. She will be deeply missed by her closest friend and companion, Paul Dickinson. Edith will be fondly remembered for her ability to encourage others, her selflessness in giving of her time, her love for her family, her love of sports and her tenacity to gain as much "money" as she could on her favorite game, Slotomania. She got her first computer when she was 69 and became quite proficient at using it. This allowed her to keep in touch with so many of her friends and family from Nova Scotia to BC. The family would like to give special thanks to her family doctor, Dr. Karen Antoniuk, who took exceptional care of her for many years, and especially in her last few months, as well as the many doctors and nurses in wards 3E and 3F Medicine at the Juravinski Hospital. They made our stay of more than 3 weeks so much easier because of their excellent care and cheerful personalities. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held October 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Yarmouth. Father Albeni d’Entremont officiating. Interment to follow in the Quinan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Juravinski Hospital would be greatly appreciated. On-line condolences may be sent to: sweenysfh@eastlink.ca or you may sign the guestbook or view a complete obituary on-line at: www.sweenysfuneralhome.net

A reception following the service will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Community Hall located at 61 William Street, Yarmouth.
