The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 of Hubert Mark MacDonald of of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 71 years. Hubert was born in Summerside to his late parents Leo and Florence (nee Baglole) MacDonald. Beloved husband of the late Esther (nee Doucette) MacDonald. Survived by his fur baby Dixie, brothers and sisters: Lorraine MacDonald (Richard MacPherson), Brian (Marilyn) MacDonald, Vivian MacKinnon, Donna Perry, sisters-in-law Laura MacDonald, and brothers-in-law Jim Peters and Melvin (Shirley) Doucette and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Hubert was predeceased by his sister Patsy Peters, brothers Gerald MacDonald and Lloyd MacKinnon, brother-in-law Stephen Perry and his fur babies Trixie, Taffy and Pal. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Friday October 19th, where a funeral mass will take place in St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Hubert’s memory to the PEI Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
