Frederick ‘Fred’ Banks

With broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Frederick ‘Fred’ Banks, age 73, on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Born in Antigonish on May 13, 1945, Fred was the son of the late Fred and Stella (DeLorey) Banks. He was the oldest of 10 siblings.
He leaves behind to mourn his wife, Christina (Dunphy) Banks; his five children, Fred Banks, Ellie Sasseville, April Starling, Bill Banks and Belinda Gaudry; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Fred is also survived by his brothers, Girard, Andre, Anthony and Bernie and sisters, Mary Mahoney and Rita Houghton.
Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by his brothers, Peter and Leo and his sister, Anne Wheeler.
A celebration of Fred’s life will take place on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, Dingwall, with Fr. Alphonsus Iwuji officiating.
