CORPORON, Walter Percy – age 98, Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle, formerly of Sluice Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Nakile. Born September 2, 1920 in Wedgeport, he was a son of the late John and Modeste (Muise) Corporon. Walter worked as a painter all of his working life. He and Agnes had a large circle of friends and they attended dances at the Legion in Wedgeport or Yarmouth every Saturday night for many years. They also enjoyed shopping at Frenchy’s. Walter is survived by his son, Martin Corporon, as well as by a granddaughter, Melissa and three great grandsons. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Agnes (Muise) Corporon as well as by brothers, Edmund, Leonard, Albeni and Alfred; sisters, Julie, May and Margaret. Visitation took place from 7 to 9 Friday evening with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 3 from Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
