Oswald Dacosta Herbert

It is with great sadness that the family of Oswald Dacosta Herbert, 87, announces his passing on November 4, 2018, in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Born and raised in Sydney, NS (May 7, 1931), the son of the late Laurena Best and Percy Herbert.
Oswald will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Susie Reid (Kevin); son, Ozzie Herbert (Tammy Laffin); grandkids, Danielle, Evan, Ashton; one special daughter, Crystal Borden (Kaiya, Madison), and godson, James Campbell, Sydney, NS.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Moses Edward Walcott, Sydney, NS.
Oswald worked for Sydney Steel Plant for many years before retiring in Sydney, NS (Whitney Pier Community). He moved to Fort Saskatchewan, AB in 2014 to be closer to his family. Oswald had a passion for fishing, loved playing Tarabish and Rummy, and enjoyed watching wrestling.
Family said farewell to Oswald on November 5, 2018 at Simply Cremations & Funeral Services.
