HICKEY, Richard John - February 28th, 1949, formerly of O’Donnell’s, St. Mary’s Bay. Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, May 25th, 2011. Predeceased by his father Alexander, father-in-law Francis, mother-in-law Angela; sisters Geraldine and Mary; sisters-in-law Vickey Pitcher, Rita Howe, Fatima Mulrooney, Sharon Murphy, brothers-in-law Dave Blundon, Pat Mulrooney, James Mulrooney, Charles Parrott and nephew James Parrott. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife and best friend Jackie (Mulrooney); mother: Mary Hickey; sons: Rickey (Rebecca) and James; daughters: Sherry (Rodney) and Fatima (Tyler); precious granddaughters: Jessica (Thomas) and Ella; brothers: Steve (Anne), Ambrose (Betty), Alex (Diane), Fergus (Darlene), Martin (Sandra), Billy (Nancy) and Andy (Wanda); sisters: Betty (Barry), Bridie (Tolson), Susan (Dave), Mildred (Reg), Frances (Pat), Philomena (John) and Cecilia; sisters-in-law: Aurelia (Wish), Debbie (Allie), Eita (Russell) and Tina; brothers-in-law: Junior (Judy) and Lar, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
