Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, November 22, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Donna Marie Connolly (nee Cooney) at the age of 69. Donna was predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Cooney and her beloved sister Sharon Hunt (Cooney). Leaving to mourn with loving memories her husband of 46 years Donald J. Connolly; her sons Chris (Laura) and Shawn (Jessica); her loving grandchildren Jared, Zane, Ava, Chase and Faith; her brothers Keith (Shirley), John (Shelly) and Craig; sisters Mary Nelson (Jim), Janet Ward (Reg), Venita Murphy (Jim) and Robin Cooney Fewer; close brother-in-law John Connolly; close sister-in-law Dianne Kilner (nee Connolly) (Ed). Also leaving to mourn very close friends Dave and Gwen Williams, Jim and Helen Ryan, her Rummoli friends, good neighbours Ed (Ditch) and Ruby Dodd, Gerry and Nita Coady and a large circle of friends, relatives and former co-workers at the O.T. Department Janeway Children’s Rehab. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chaudhary Ahmad of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic and Dr. Hurley and all the extremely warm, comforting staff of the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit. Donna will be resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
