Annie Marie (Buckler) Frost of Waterville passed away on November 20, 2018 at age 93. It is with loving memories and sad hearts that the family of Annie Frost announces her passing peacefully into the arms of her Lord. Born in Watertown, New York, she was the eldest daughter of the late Stewart and Blanche (Robins) Buckler of Bear River East. Annie was predeceased by her loving husband, John W. Frost; son, Eric Frost; sister, Beulah (George) Doane; brother, Albert (Janet) Buckler. Annie received her high school education at Bear River Academy. Once she finished school, Annie started work at Kaulbacks store in Bear River. Annie then moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick where she worked at the Lord Beaverbrook Hotel. Moving back to Nova Scotia, Annie married John Frost on October 15, 1955, working at the former Cornwallis Inn, Kentville; Palmeters Country Home, Kentville and the Wandlyn Inn, Coldbrook. She and John settled in Waterville where they spent the remainder of their lives. Annie was a loving mother and a wonderful homemaker, always welcoming with a warm cup of tea. She absolutely loved having company drop by and welcomed family and friends from far and near into her home. She loved going on family picnics and social activities, attending local sing-alongs and suppers. Annie enjoyed baking, quilting, gardening, watching Jeopardy and delighted in working with her puzzle books. She was a member of the Waterville Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with upcoming events and days spent with the ladies of the Sharon Club. Annie was an amazing woman who always made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Annie will be deeply missed by her son, Kim (Heather) Frost; daughters, Darlene Frost and Judy Deveau whom she loved with all her heart. She was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be lovingly remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Shelly and Donnie and staff of the Little Dolphin Senior Care Mavillette for all their love and care. There was no visitation, by request. A celebration of Annie’s life, followed by a reception, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A private family burial took place in the Berwick Cemetery, Berwick. Donations in memory may be made to the Waterville Baptist Church, 1243 Mill Street, Waterville, NS, B0P 1V0. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
