ALBERT ROLAND DOBSON

ALBERT ROLAND DOBSON

The family announce, with broken hearts the sudden passing of Albert Roland Dobson age 68 of Fenwick. Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Edward and Blanche (Pettigrew) Dobson.
Albert was an avid outdoorsman all his life. He was in his favorite spot, the family hunting camp, with some of his favorite people, his brothers, when he left us. Albert loved looking after his blueberries, bees, and spending time on the marsh trapping and fishing eels. He was always followed by his loyal companion, Bella, until her passing. He could build, make or fix anything on his own and would help anybody that needed a hand. Albert loved to travel with Linda to Cape Breton to look for moose during their annual vacation. He loved to meet up with his brothers and friends twice daily for coffee and gossip, and maybe a few tall tales at A&W and Arnold’s garage. Last summer, Albert and Linda went on a trip to visit family in Western Canada and to see the country and all the wildlife. Many memories were made, even on the shortest day trips, and they got to meet their great grandson, Sammy. Albert was very proud of his kids and grandchildren and would do anything for them. Albert will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda (Jollota); children Edward and Jennifer (Jeff Gouchie); grandchildren Janelle, Reghan, Makenna, Shannon, Morgan and Tyler; great grandson Samuel; Sisters, Ruth Arenburg, Shirley Michels, Peggy MacKenzie, Hazel (Robert) Arenburg and Joyce Maloney; brothers Gordon (Dorothy), Jack, Kenny (Chris), Ronnie (Eva) and Arnold (Bev); in-laws Ruth (Herb) Nickerson, Shirley (Roger) Howlett, Timmy Jollota, Dale (David) Landry, Thelma (Thomas) Haynes, Jimmy (Debbie) Jollota and Nancy (Steven) Comeau and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by siblings; Arthur (infancy), Olive (Donald) Arseneau; Vaughan and Russell; brothers in-law Clarence Arenburg, Bert Michels, Bernie MacKenzie and sister in-law Sue Dobson; in-laws Ivan (Joyce) Jollota and Eric Jollota. Albert will be tremendously missed by everyone that knew him. A celebration of Albert’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 2 – 4 pm held in Knights of Columbus Hall, Robie St. Amherst. Interment will take place in Fenwick Cemetery at a later date.
