Clarice Anne Mary Maher (nee Nurse)

Passed on: November 27th, 2018

Predeceased by her parents Mary and Charlie Nurse and her youngest brother Gerard Nurse and also William and Elizabeth Maher, Randolph (Auck) and Margaret (Peg) Auchinleck. Clarice passed away after a very brave battle with cancer, leaving behind the love of her life and her best friend, David Maher, her husband of 46 years. Clarice also leaves her son Charles (Chuck) of whom she was most proud, as well as her daughter-in-law Amber Maher who she loved dearly. Nana’s two precious grandchildren, Caleb and Keira Maher, were the light of her life. Caleb and Keira made Nana’s heart beat with pure joy every single day. Nana will be their guiding light forever. Left with loving memories are Clarice’s siblings and their families; Tom and Sandy, Rick and Marie, Noel and Jackie, Chuck and Marietta, Robert and Cathy, Chris and Debbie, Gary Nurse, Kathryn Halley (Gerry), Elizabeth and Calvin Hunt, Barbara Cadigan (Ronald). Clarice will also be lovingly remembered by her Maher family: Tom and Joan, Mike Simon (Maureen), Helen and Frank Power, Ag Maher (Kevin), Robert and Carol, William (Billy), Patricia (Pat), and Paul and Sharon, as well as by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Lakeridge Health in Bowmanville/Oshawa and Princess Margaret Hospitals for all their care and compassion. Funeral and visitation will be held at Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Morris Chapel on Saturday December 1, 2018 at 11a.m. Clarice wished that donations in her memory be given to school lunch programs in your area or the charity of your choice.
