It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our brother and uncle on November 21st, 2018 in Toronto, ON after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. George was predeceased by his parents, Douglas & Ivy Baird of Hodge's Cove, NL. He is survived by his sisters Audrey Baird (Jerome Tobin), Donna Whalen (Rick) & Sharlene and his brother Doug Baird (Jennifer) as well as his nephews Matthew Tobin, Troy Whalen (Brontë), Mackenzie Baird and Daniel Baird and his one and only special niece, Sophie Baird. As per George's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date in Hodge's Cove.
