It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Martin announce his peaceful passing surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mildred Martin (nee Pike), of Woody Point, NL; daughters: Brenda Martin (Robert “Bob” Young) of Steady Brook, NL Lorraine (Thomas) Kearney, of Fredericton, NB, Ann Martin (Randy Trask), of Gander, NL, Sandra (Curtis) Decker, of Gander, NL, Glenda Martin (Sidney) Barnes of Cambridge, ON, daughter in-law Irene; grandchildren: Wendy, Terri, Christopher, Devin, Justin, Leanne, Brittany, Megan, and Mackenzie; great-grandchildren: Brianna, Mason, Aiden, and Ryder; siblings: Norma (Predeceased Baxter), Jim (Dorothy), and Dorris (predeceased, Clayton), and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Bruce in 2011, parents Selby and Nellie Martin. A very special thank you to our home care support Lorna Young for her 10 years of service and to Linda Howe and Linda Payne. Special thank you to Dr. Robert Young the family Dr. for many years, Dr. Bowen, Dr. Chang and all nursing staff at Bonne Bay Health Center for your compassionate care during his stay there. Friends may visit Church of the Epiphany in Woody Point on Friday, December 7th from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 8th at 2 p.m. with The Rev. Deacon Francis Elgar officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expression of sympathy Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to The Epiphany Anglican Church Woody Point.
