Gisella 'Gee' Madden

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of their mother, sister and grandmother, Gisella 'Gee' Madden on December 9, 2018 at the Maple Hill Manor.
Born in Hungry on April 25, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gisella (Lucas) Kispal.
Gee had belonged to Aging Gracefully, at one time she was a member of the C.W.L., enjoyed playing cards, especially forty-five. At one time about eight women in her neighborhood got together and formed a club, where they met at each one's home every Friday to play cards and this went on for forty-five years where great lasting friendships were made.
Gee is survived by sons, Stephen (Trickie), New Waterford, Patrick (Carol) Dartmouth and Francis (Patricia), Halifax; sister, Mary (Hughie) McDonald and sister-in-law, Donna Kispal, who was very good to her. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Madden(2002); brothers, Steve, Joe and Frank Kispal as well as very close friend, Roddie Eldridge.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held Thursday, December 13th at 12 p.m. followed by a chapel service in the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery and a luncheon at the K.O.C., Plummer Ave., and everyone is welcome.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
