Clifford ‘Chickie’ Joseph Boutilier

Clifford ‘Chickie’ Joseph Boutilier

Passed on: December 27th, 2018

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Chickie on December 27, 2018 at home with Chrissy by his side. Born in Glace Bay he was the son of Clifford Boutilier and Phyllis Kelloway (Curtis).
Chickie was self-employed, he was a Pizza Shop Owner, known to most around as the King of Pizza.
He was a member of Jiggers Dart League which he enjoyed every week, as well as other dart benefits and functions, when he could make the time as he was usually working. He enjoyed music and carpentry and time with family and friends.
Chickie is survived by the love of his life, Chrissy Boutilier; three children, whom he would have done anything for, daughters, Alyssa Currie (Seancie) and Rebecca; son, Michael Currie, and two that he treated like his own, Sam and Greg (Chrissy’s two sons); three grandchildren, Mason, Garrett and Hunter, who were the apple of his eyes; the mother of his three children, Shirley Currie; sister, Sara (Brayden); brothers, Richie (Tanya), Scott (Melissa), Billy (Carrie) and Shane ‘Piper’ (Janey); longtime friend, Michael Sheppard, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, too numerous to count.
He was predeceased by grandparents, Francis (Clements) and Gordon Boutilier, Sadie (Payne) and Paul Kelloway; aunts, Wilma, Margie, Wanda and Ellen; uncles, Franny, Blair, Sheldon, Glennis, Wade, Garland and Bill; a sister, who died in infancy, Francis Necole; former father-in-law, Francis ‘Dinky’ Currie, and special cousin, Tyler Cooke.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 2 and Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. both days, at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4 at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Anglican Church with Rev. Myrna MacMullin officiating. Following the service please come and join us at the Main Event to celebrate Chickie’s life. Everyone is welcome.
Donations may be made to The Glace Bay Food Bank in lieu of flowers.
