Mildred G. Crosby

We, the family, regret to announce the peaceful passing of Mildred G. Crosby, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend on December 26, 2018 in Dartmouth. Born in Glace Bay, the daughter of the late Hugh and Olive (Grant) MacLean.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Wallace, in 1984.
She resided in Sydney until 2004 when she moved to Dartmouth to be near her family. She was a longtime member of First United Church and UCW Sydney. Since moving to Dartmouth, she was a member of Woodlawn United Church and UCW. She loved her family, always kept in touch and loved watching her great-grandchildren grow.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Leone and son-in-law, David Bollivar, Dartmouth; her loving son, Glenn and daughter-in-law, Debby, Timberlea; three granddaughters, Krista (Bollivar) Watts, husband Morgan Watts, Natalie Crosby Timberlea, Jamie Crosby and husband Kris Roberts Toronto; great-grandsons, Cameron, Logan, Tyler Watts and Keigan Crosby Rendell.
She is also survived by brother, Donald (Judy) Courtice, ON; sisters, Beryl Teskey, Niagara Falls, ON, Muriel McLaughlin, Fredericton, NB, Mary and Chester Smith Dartmouth; sisters-in-law, Elsie MacLean, Sudbury, Anne MacLean, Sudbury; brother-in-law, Ralph Peters Glace Bay, and many nieces and nephews, in particular special niece, Susan Smith.
She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Everett and Lorne; sisters, Ruth Peters and Gertrude.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service to be held in Woodlawn United Church, Dartmouth on January 10 at 2 p.m. with interment at a later date in Sydney.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care of Mildred by the staff of the Dartmouth General Hospital and Parkland at the Lakes, Lewis Hall.
