Fred A. Baker 'Sam', age 72, of Grand Mira North, passed away peacefully at his home on December 21, 2018.
Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Fred and Isabel (Gouthro) Baker.
He is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Baker) Brown and Alice (John) Newman of New Waterford; four nephews and one niece.
Sam enjoyed gardening and spending time with his tame raccoons, ducks and cats. He loved the wilderness and the peacefulness of his country home. He made beautiful wood carvings and was a very kind-hearted man with a terrific sense of humor. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford.
