Loving husband of Ruth Birt (nee Gilbert); father of Lillian Gould (Walter), Brenda Birt, Ann MacMillan (Barry), Ricky, Russell (Patricia), Janet White (Barry), Rose Arsenault (John); loving grandfather of Shawn, Rachael, Priscilla, Nicole, Tara, Kyle, Courtney, Samantha, Shawna, Amanda, Mark, and 17 great-grandchildren; brother of Lorne Birt (Roma), Myrna Peters (Edward), Marlene Pater and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Seymore and Hilda; brothers Martin, Leslie; and sister Velma. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
