It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Abraham Lorenzo Doucette, of Eskasoni, on January 14th, 2019. He is the son of the late Norma Jane and Vernon Lorenzo Doucette Sr.
Abraham was a kind-hearted person who had lots of family and friends, and he enjoyed spending his time with them. He was labeled as ‘the’ favorite friend with everyone. He loved the game of hockey, hiking up the mountain with his boys, and hanging out with his friends. Abraham was an explorer and adventurer. He helped who ever needed help and would put others needs before his own.
He will be sadly missed by his father, Vernon Doucette Sr.; grandfather, Abraham B. Doucette; siblings, Sheridan Gould (Teedaze), Omar Gould Sr. (Jade Robinson), Blaze Doucette (Anjilin Denny), Norma Jean ‘Coco’ (Anthony Michael) Vernon Jr. (Eddie), Pauline (Nicole Knockwood); his godfather, Ian Isaac; adopted godmothers, Marina Denny and Gail Stevens; loved by his one and only godchild, Ava Rose; along with his nephews, Theodrick, Omar Jr., Maverick, Justin, Christopher, Mitchell, Taihler; nieces, Julianna, Keeley-shay, Kendra, Keyanna, Tiannie, Kellee, Lyviah, Piper, Aliah; great-nieces, Carley, Cammy, Carmen, Tayla.
Abraham will be missed by his family, close friends, and his hockey family.
Abraham is predeceased by his mother, Norma Jane (Gould) Doucette; his grandparents, Mary Jane and Frank Gould, Anna Jean Johnson-Doucette, Sarah Mae Doucette, and his godmother, Livia Kay Bernard.
Visitation will take place at the Gabriel Center in Eskasoni, on Saturday, January 19, after 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish in Eskasoni, on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Martin MacDougall officiating. Salite to follow service.
