We the family of the late Muriel Violet Smith wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all the love and support given to us during Mom's illness and after her passing. For all the phone calls she received, for the gifts, flowers, mass cards and get well cards, she appreciated them so much. To those who visited her at home, especially her brother Sonny, she enjoyed your visits. To Sara, her granddaughter, for staying with Nan when she needed you. Nan loved you dearly. Thanks to Mary and Pat for travelling home and helping care for mom. Thank you to Home Care and the V.O.N. for your care and kind words of comfort. A special thank you to the Palliative Care doctors and nurses, especially Susan MacKenzie. Without your support we would not have been able to grant Mom's final wishes to die at home. Thank you for trying to make her final days as comfortable as possible. Thank you to the Red Cross for providing the equipment necessary. A special thank you to Dr. Andrew Wawer for your care and compassion for Mom over the years and to Dr. Wawer's staff for always fitting Mom in for appointments. We appreciated this so much. Thank you to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent mass and sympathy cards, flowers, enrolments, monetary and charitable donations, emails, phone calls, visits, and for all the food sent to our homes. Thank you to Greg Murphy for all your help and support. Thank you to Father Thomas John for your prayers both at home and the wake and for celebrating the funeral mass. Thank you to the servers, eucharistic ministers, Immaculate Conception organist and choir. Thank you to the grandchildren who were pallbearers, gift bearers, did readings and the Prayers of the Faithful. Thank you to son Pat for also doing a reading. Thank you to the C.W.L. for the lovely lunch following the funeral. To Manning Jobes, thank you for your guidance and professionalism. To her daughter Muriel for the beautiful eulogy she delivered, well done. Mom would have been so proud. May God Bless each and every one of you who helped in any way. Mom was the heart of the home. She loved us and will live in our hearts forever.
