Linda Catherine Murrant

It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Linda Murrant, age 75, on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Jean (Reid) McQueen.
Linda was employed at the Scotiabank in Glace Bay until her retirement. She enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Della Murrant; son, David (Elizabeth) Murrant, both of Port Morien; siblings, Eric (Gail) McQueen, Margaret (Bob) McCormick, Reid (Darlene) McQueen; grandson, David (Beth) Murrant, and her unborn great-granddaughter. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Edward (Blanche) Murrant and Nelson (Sandra) Murrant, as well many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Murrant.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199) with DLM Nancy Whitney-Latham officiating. Burial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shiners Hospital Travel Fund or a charity of choice.
