The death occurred at Palliative Care Unit, O’Leary, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, of Eugene Foustin Perry, of Lady Slipper Villa and Alberton, at the age of 90 years. Husband of the late Kathleen Frances (Hagen), Eugene was born in Fortune Cove on October 22, 1928, son of the late Anthony and Beatrice (Peters) Perry. Cherished father to Anna (Ross Bernard), Harmony, Mary McKenzie, Cornwall, John Perry, O’Leary, Elaine (Garry Luttrell), Roseville, Paula (Weldon Lewis), Cascumpec, Joan (Kevin McKay), Fredericton, NB, Theresa (Ronnie Arbing), West Devon, Peggy (Kevin Ramsay), Springhill, Vernon (Kelly) Coleman, and Shirley (Jody McKnight), Timberlea, NS. Loving Grampie to 26 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Brother to Joseph Perry, Summerside, brother-in-law to John (Jean) Hagen, Lily (Ivan), Bernadette (Gary), Arthur (Judy) Hagen, Michael Hagen, Clarence (Terri) Hagen, Ronnie (Dawna) Hagen.
Predeceased by his parents, his wife, Kathleen (October 13, 1997), son-in-law, Mike Enman, brother, Earl Perry, sisters, Dora Wickens and Mary Lynch, and brothers-in law Billy and Joey Hagen. Resting at Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton with visiting hours Thursday, February 7th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 9th, at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Alberton, Rev. Andrew MacDonald, Celebrant. Interment later in the church cemetery. In memory of Eugene, memorials to Western Hospital and Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
