The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, PE, on Wednesday, February 7, 2019, of Sheldon Shawn O'Meara, of Charlottetown, age 45 years. Born in Summerside, PE, on May 30, 1973, he was the beloved husband of Maria O'Meara (nee Doucette) and cherished son of Ivan and Sheryl (nee McCarthy) O'Meara, of Alberton. Dear brother to Trevor and Shelley (nee Sweet) O'Meara, Michael and Crystal-Lynn (nee Hardy) O'Meara, Darcy and Melissa (nee Frandsen) O'Meara, and Matthew and Tara (nee Bernard) O'Meara. Son-in-law of Victor and Cathy Doucette of Tignish. Brother-in-law to Nicole and Jeddy, Andy and Monique, Tina and Pam. Loving uncle to Emma, Catherine, Jake, Thomas, Simon, Clara, Lucie, Patrick, Zack, Zander, Zyler, Dax, Harper, Annie, Gracie, and Rylie. Always remembered by his many cherished friends. Resting at Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, February 8th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, February 8th from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, PE., for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment later in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Alberton. As an expression of sympathy, donations are welcomed to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada-Atlantic Region and/or the Kidney Foundation.
