Passed peacefully away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, two weeks before his 77th birthday. Predeceased by his parents: Peter and Melba; his twin brother Theodore Francis (Ted) Ocean Ranger; brother Patrick; sister Cathy; daughter-in-law Theresa and father-in-law Edward (Ted) Newman. Leaving to celebrate his life and shared memories are his wife Charlotte (nee Newman); sons: Ted (Caelie Conroy) and Robert (Sherry Roche); grandchildren: Zachary, Rohnen, Justin, Robbie, Nichole and Linda; great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Layla and Jalynn; mother-in-law Viola Newman; brothers: Jack, Carl and Don (Gail); sister-in-law Helen Stapleton; aunts and uncles: Irene and Cliff Loder, Ruth Brown (Mac - deceased) and Lizzie Hussey (Allan – deceased). As well a large circle of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special mention to the staff of 5 East St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, Mt. Pearl. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Bob’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul or the Salvation Army or to a charity of one’s choice.
