It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear husband and father, Gerald Harvey Mayo on Thursday March 7, 2019 at Tiffany Village, St. John’s. Gerald was dedicated to his family, his friends and his church. He worked tirelessly throughout his lifetime for numerous community organizations. Predeceased by parents Reuban and Isabelle Mayo; brothers Eugene, Clyde, Leland, Raymond, Gordon; and Sister Helen. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Lucille; daughters: Patricia Osmond (Ben), Lorraine Hinks (Robert); son Gerry (Kim); grandchildren: Brent Osmond (Andrea), Heather Osmond Hoover (Brad), Stephen Hinks (Melissa), Jennifer Hinks, Katelyn Mayo, and Laura Mayo; great-grandchildren: Grace & Benjamin Osmond, Rexton & Adalaide Hoover; sisters Pauline Dodge (Cyril), and Alice Young (Gordon); a large circle of nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Our heartfelt gratitude is extended to the staff of Tiffany Village for their ongoing care and kindness. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Friday & Saturday, March 8 & 9, 2019 from 2-4pm & 7pm-9pm. Funeral service to take place from St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 203 Logy Bay Road, St. John’s, NL on Monday March 11, 2019 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
