ALLEN, Darrell Robert, 62 of North Kemptville, passed away March 20, 2019 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Yarmouth, August 13, 1956, he was a son to the late Albert and Laura (Burton) Allen. Darrell was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and a truck driver having worked in Fort McMurray, Alberta. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the lake. He is survived by his wife Myrna (Hamilton) Allen, North Kemptville; step daughters Krystal Ring (Kevin Miller), Brooks, Alberta; Pauline (Ray) Bullerwell, Yarmouth, NS; step sons, S. Earl (Polly) Ring, Yarmouth; Minard (Diane) Ring, London, Ont.; Glendon Ring (Peggy Jacquard), Deerfield; brothers, Lloyd (Sharon) Allen, North Kemptville; Douglas (Carolyn) Allen, North Kemptville; sister Doreen (John) Muise, North Kemptville, sister in-law Judy Allen, Yarmouth; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grand children as well and many nieces and a nephew. Beside his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Lawson; sister, Beatrice in infancy; half sister, Eula Burrill; grandson, Logan Ring. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 1-2 pm prior to a memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Joey Ring officiated. Burial in the Hatfield Cemetery, North Kemptville. Memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund or the Yarmouth SPCA.
