We are sad to announce the passing of Harry James Lafford Jr., age 33 of Eskasoni on March 21, 2019 in Eskasoni.
He was the son of Darlene Marshall and Harry James Lafford Sr.
Junior loved to listen to hip hop and metal music, watching Dragon Ball Z; he loved social media, working out, visiting with friends and loved family gatherings. Junior took pride in cultivating his mom’s yard. He was always up for a cribbage challenge and walking the dogs, Patch and Chloe. Junior was a big fan of the Detroit Red Wings. Junior took comfort in attending sweat lodge and ceremonies.
He is survived by his parents, Darlene Marshall and Harry James Lafford Sr.; daughters, Cynthia and Cadence; sisters, Danielle Marie, Trina Marie; brothers, Edwin, Gabriel, Kirk, Josh, Noah; godparents, Mollege and Danny; godson, Zaren Sylliboy; girlfriend, Heidi Dennis; great aunt, Elizabeth and by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was predeceased by grandparents, Benjiman and Helen Lafford, Frank and Julia Marshall and baby brother, Daniel Stephen in infancy.
We know he is running with his best friend, Marty in Heaven.
Visitation will begin after 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 30 at Holy Family Church with Fr. Martin MacDougall officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
