John Cyril Brufatto

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Brufatto, age 82 on April 7, 2019 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
John was the son of the late Isadore and Agnes (MacNeil) Brufatto.
He was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish, Glace Bay. John loved telling stories about working on his father’s farm in his youth and loved going to the Casino with his sister.
He is survived by his sister and care giver, Kay Boutilier; brothers, Louie (Norma), Gerald (Shirley) and Howie (Elaine) all of Glace Bay.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Theresa, Jean, Carol Ann and Rita; brothers, Alex “Bubby” and Robert in infancy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be to a charity of choice.
A special thank you to Dr. Lee and the nurses and staff on 3 West at the Glace Bay Hospital also to the staff at Victoria Haven for the years of care and compassion. We can’t thank you enough.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 11-12 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 12 p.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). A reception to follow.
