Davison, Helen Nancy, 97, of Woodville, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 16, 1921 in Windsor, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Bacon) Armstrong. Helen was a life time member of the Newport United Church, Brooklyn. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking and following the Royal Family events. Helen was a school teacher in a one room school house in Scotch Village, a foster parent, a loving wife, a mother, and grandmother. Surviving are son, Charles (Debra), Woodville; daughters, Betty (Phil) MacDougall, Woodville; Emma (Robert) Cox, Clarksville; grandchildren, Kimberly, Dawn, Charlene, Kendra; great grandchildren, Nash, Sarah, Ethan, Baiden; great-great grandson, Jeffery; sisters, Marion (Donald) Grant, Middleton; Pauline Conrad, Berwick; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Ralph; son, Grant; grandson, Jeffrey MacDougall; brothers, Bliss, Clarence, Bill; sister, Geraldine Parsons and an infant sister. A gathering for family and friends will be held 1-4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. Burial will be in Riverview Haven Cemetery at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Newport United Church or charity of your choice.
