It is with deep sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of Paul Michael "Gino" Sharpe, age 44, of Springhill, NS. Paul passed away May 5, 2019 at the Halifax Infirmary with his loving family and friends at his side. Paul fought the fight of all fights in his battle with liver disease. Paul loved all sports but especially hockey and baseball. Paul coached minor baseball for many years. His favorite times coaching was when he was coaching his own children, Carter and Julia. Paul loved hunting and fishing and spending time at the camp, but above all, Paul loved his children, Carter and Julia who brought him great pride and joy. Paul was loved by and in love with Samantha Alick for over twenty years. Paul was born January 29, 1975, the son of the Alex and Bev (Bryan) Sharpe. He is survived by the love of his life and fiancé, Samantha Alick; his son Carter and his daughter, Julia; his mother Bev Sharpe; sisters, Gayle (Daniel) Snell, and Tracy (Mike) Gerrior; brother Brian (Angie Hunter) Sharpe, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Dad, Alex Sharpe. Arrangements are under the care and direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A celebration of Paul's life will be held from the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre, Main Street, Springhill, on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 4 pm with a time of reception and gathering to follow until 6 pm.
