The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital on Friday May 10, 2019 of James Henry Murphy of Summerside and formerly of Freetown aged 81 years, son of the late Gabe and Lillian Murphy. He leaves to Mourn his wife Emily (Gallant) Murphy, children Darlene, Summerside, Diane (Richard) Rooney, Alberta, David (May) Summerside and Dwayne, Summerside. Grandfather of Cindy (Billy) Boissnneault, Ronda Murphy, Joshewa Murphy, Johnathan Rooney, Kyle Rooney and Avery Murphy. Great-grandfather of Samantha Milligan and Torrie Coughlin. Also survived by his sisters Isabell Matthews, Summerside, Elaine Boelhouwer, Tyne Valley and Jean (Ken) Muttart, Summerside. Predeceased by his infant son Dale, son Darren, brothers Edward, Joseph and Walter Murphy and brothers-in-law Russell Matthews and John Boelhouwer. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington, No visitation by personal request. Funeral Mass Tuesday at St. James Church Summerfield at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
