We the family of Shrimp, wish to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who supported us during our recent loss. To all who visited, sent food, made charitable donations, telephoned, sent cards, on-line messages, attended the funeral/ reception and expressed kind words, we feel deeply indebted to you all. Even though he was a humble man he would have been thrilled to see the outpouring of sympathy we received. Thanks to Father Dan Boudreau, the choir, and the Eucharistic ministers of St. Joseph’s Parrish, Reserve Mines. Thanks also to the CWL for providing a lovely lunch. Our sincere appreciation is extended to the Glace Bay General Hospital and Harbourstone Enhanced Care as well as VJ McGillivray’s for their professionalism and sensitivity which made a difficult situation easier. A special thanks to Doctor Bob O’Brien for his common sense, good humour and exceptional care. We appreciate our special neighbours, Murial and Johnny Fortune for always being there when needed. All of the notes were very much appreciated, but one that stands out is “He always loved his girls (Mary Lou, Pam and Mikki) and that statement captured his essence and would no doubt bring that big smile to his face.
