MARILYN NEUDECK

Passed on: June 6th, 2011

The Family of Marilyn Debra Neudeck (nee Fryklund) is very sad to announce the passing of their beloved wife, mother, gammy, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Marilyn succumbed to a lengthy battle with cancer on June 6, 2011 at the age of 57 years. Right to the end, as in life, Marilyn demonstrated her strong will. It was that same spirit, faith and attitude that served her well through her life. That strength was very evident when it involved her family and friends. The fourth of five girls, Marilyn was born January 31, 1954 in Moose Jaw, SK to Arnold and Mildred Fryklund. On October 7, 1972, she married her love, Dwayne. They raised their children, Tricia, Shara and Brett, in and just outside Moose Jaw. Marilyn enjoyed quilting and would be happy to make anyone who asked, a “blankie”. Her other hobbies included taking care of their orchard, and planting beautiful flowers and gardens. After 28 years of dedicated service at Sears Canada, Marilyn took an early retirement to spend more time with the loves of her life, her grandchildren. Left to mourn her loss is her loving husband of 39 years, Dwayne Neudeck of Red Deer, AB; daughter, Tricia (Darren) Lidberg of Clyde, AB; daughter, Shara (Murray) Fuss of Langdon, AB; son, Brett (Chelsea Wood) Neudeck of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Kelsey, Taelor, Emmett, Reece, Josef and Jessica; mother, Mildred Isaac of Moose Jaw, SK; sisters, Brenda Schick and Laraine Verity both of Moose Jaw, SK, Christine Turpin of Calgary, AB; brother-in-law, Bob MacDonald of Calgary, AB; father-in-law, Bill Neudeck of Moose Jaw, SK; sister-in-law, Valerie (Brian) Sexsmith of Wolseley, SK; brother-in-law, Corey (Shelley) Neudeck of Moose Jaw, SK as well as many nieces, nephews, and great friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her father, Arnold Fryklund; sister, Cheryl MacDonald; mother-in-law, Patricia Neudeck; stepfather, John Isaac; and brother-in-laws Harold Schick, Earl Verity, and Jerome Turpin. A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (15 Paul Dr., Moose Jaw, SK) at 11:00 am with a tea to follow. Donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society (99 Arnot Ave, Red Deer, AB, T4R 2S6). Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.reddeerfuneralhome.com.
