The family of the late Gilbert Ivany would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who supported us during Gilberts illness and death. From providing food, sympathy cards, online condolences, charitable donations in Gil's memory and the many visits at the nursing home and funeral home, these things were greatly appreciated. To nurses and staff of Fisherman's Cove, Harbourstone Enhances Care we say thank you for your care and compassion. Gilbert enjoyed his time there and loved being able to joke with the staff. To Dr. Myatt and Janice for all your care over the years and to Dr. Hall for your care in the nursing home, thank you. To Rev. Jackie Warren and Rev. Glen Kent we thank you for the lovely service and beautiful homily. Your kind words meant a lot. To the organist, choir, altar servers and ladies who prepared the delicious lunch, a generous thank you. Special thanks to granddaughter Stacey MacDonald and grandson Nolan MacDonald for the lovely readings. To grandson Nicholas Ivany who so proudly carried his grandfather's ashes and our son David for reading the intentions. To the Bonnell and Jennex families for all their care and support over the years our heartfelt thanks and gratitude. To Kollin Weatherbee and staff at Sydney Memorial Chapel thank you for you compassion and professionalism. If we have missed anyone it was not our intention, and please accept our sincere thanks.
