MALONE, WILLIAM VINCENT - August 12th, 1931 - June 5th, 2011 - Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Willam Vincent Malone passed away at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Beloved husband of Natalie, Bill will also be missed by his five loving children Dorothy Innes (Roy), Susan Moir (Clarke), Gregory, Jim (Vicky) and Kathleen Malone-Huckins (Phil); granddaughter Jill Lorencz; grandsons, Brian Harriman, Ryan Malone, Mark Malone, Johnathon Moir, Justin Moir, Brad Malone, Brett Malone and Cole Huckins; great-granddaughters Brooklyn and Lily Lorencz; great-grandsons Ben Harriman, Will and Cooper Malone. Bill was predeceased by his parents Agnes and Harry. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Known for his years of playing hockey with the Miramichi Beavers, Fredericton Capitals, University of New Brunswick and Saint Thomas High and University hocky teams, Bill had a life-long passion for the game of hockey. He passed the "Love of the Game" on to his children and grandchildren who still enjoy family times together at the "rink". Bill was an inductee into the Fredericton and Miramichi Sports Wall of Fame. He also was presented with the Knights of Columbus honorary life membership.
A mass to celebrate Bill's life will be held at Saint Michael's Basilica on Friday, June 10th at 1pm.
