James Stuart Fleming (known to all as Jim) passed away at his home in Dartmouth on June 5, 2019. He was 66. Jim was born in Toronto on February 3, 1953. He grew up in Ottawa, where he graduated from Woodroffe High School and attended Carleton University. In 1978, he moved to British Columbia, where he worked in the mining industry for many years, He moved to Truro with family in 1994. There he studied IT at the Nova Scotia Community College, graduating in 1997. After working for the provincial government, he co-founded Preclarus Technologies, an IT company based in Truro. After retiring, he moved to Dartmouth, where he resided with his
nephew. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Melville and Blanche. He is survived by his sisters Catherine and Jane; his nephew John; and his dear friend Jo-Ann Cunningham. As per Jim's wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
