We, the family, of the late Susie (Bates) MacDonald, wish to express our deepest gratitude to all our friends and relatives, both near and far, who offered support during our recent loss. To those that sent messages of condolences, flowers, Mass cards, monetary donations, memorial donations, special keepsakes, all those that attended the wake and funeral, our beautiful cousins and friends that brought food to our homes, and all those that traveled from away, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you to father Doug MacDonald from St. Josephs Parish, North Sydney, for the beautiful service and readings, to the parish hall auxialiary for the lovely lunch and to the church choir for their amazing singing. Shirley Scott - you have the voice of an angel. Thank you to the pall bearers, moms nephews, Kenny and Gerard MacDonald, Keith Wilcox, Danny White, and Brian and Kelly Bates. Mom adored all of her nieces and nephews. A heartfelt Thank You to the staff of the Northside Community Guest Home, Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Maplehill Manor, Northside Homemakers and those of you that have been on this difficult journey with mom as her sickness progressed the past number of years. Every little act of kindness did not go unnoticed. Special thanks to Dr. John Kirkpatrick, North Sydney, who for many years took great care of our mom. Finally, thank you to Stephen Donovan, mom's grandson, for opening his home during the services and to his dad Robert (son-in-law) and WJ Dooley Funeral Services for looking after all moms arrangements.
