Bruno Beauregard

MR. BRUNO BEAUREGARD

Bruno passed away peacefully in his sleep in his 89th year. He is
survived by his daughter, Debra Beauregard (Jeff Mains) of Ottawa. He was born in Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec and has resided in Bolton-Est, Quebec (Eastern Townships) since 1995. Sadly, he was recently predeceased by his wife, Anne, who passed away this Spring, and by their son, Norman, in 2015.

As per Bruno’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A private family interment will be held at a future date.

Bruno and Anne were married for 64 years. They met at a skating rink and he was so entranced that he determined to learn English so they could date. He loved living at the lake and spent hours paddling in his canoe following the shore. He also enjoyed going for a walk with his binoculars and watching birds and other wildlife in the fields. Bruno was a great photographer. On a walk on the back road, he came face to face with a bear. The bear started walking away and he couldn’t get a photo of it in time. So, as he got his camera ready, he scuffed his foot on the gravel and the bear half turned around. He got a fantastic photo (and a stern talking-to from Anne). Above everything else, Bruno was an artist. He brought a creatively beautiful touch to everything he made, from furniture to wood carvings to canoe paddles to delicate paintings of flowers. His style was unmistakeable and his work was always perfectly detailed. Bruno's working
career in advertising was in Montreal, retiring from Thomson Newspapers in 1995.
After moving to the Eastern Townships, he was actively involved in the
ocal community and served as a municipal councillor
