Mr. Frank (Francis) Joseph Confiant, born North Sydney, N.S., passed away Oct. 10, 2008, in St. Catharines Ont. His loving wife of 59 years, Mrs. Irma (Catharine) Confiant (MacAulay) born Sydney Mines, N.S., passed away Dec. 16, 2010 in St. Catharines, Ont.
Cremation and private services have taken place in Ontario. As per their final wishes, Frank and Irma will be returned to their beloved Cape Breton by their children for interment in the Confiant family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney. A graveside service will take place Friday, June 24, 2011, at 2 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
They are survived by their children, Francine Diane Geikie (Dave), Nancy Marie Taylor, Linda Rose Jones, John Francis Confiant (Darla), Joseph Arthur Confiant and Spring Catherine Gilroy (Scott) as well as 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
