Mary H. Bowden (née Hill), 79, of Livingston, TX, died 10 September 2009 in Livingston Hospital after a lengthy illness. Daughter of late Clara and David Upton Hill, she received a B.Sc. from Acadia U. in 1951, worked as a dietician at Mass. General Hospital (Boston), and later ran a successful dietetic consultancy for nursing homes in southeastern Mass. During the last few years of her life, she travelled extensively across North America before failing health led her to settle in Livingston, TX, amid friends in the Escapees RV Club. She is survived by her husband George, her son Eric (Mary) Bowden, and her daughter Sandy (Andrew) Zinck. She is also lovingly remembered by four grandchildren: Emma, Graeme, Hope, and Ian. A service was held Wednesday at the Escapees Care Centre in Livingston, TX. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society.
