It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Lorraine Catherine (MacKinnon) Anderson on Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the age of 55, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
She passed away at home with her husband and lifelong partner of 33 years, Ron Anderson, at her side.
Lorraine was born in Sydney, N.S., on April 16, 1956, to Doris MacKinnon and the late Edgar MacKinnon of Sydney.
Formerly of Sydney, Lorraine spent most of her life living and working away in Texas and Ontario. She found great happiness in her life, being with Ron and caring for animals.
Left to mourn her passing are her sisters, Debbie (Frank) MacDonald, Sydney, Glenda Donovan, Baddeck, Ruth (Harry) Pothier, Sydney and one brother, Duane (Lynne), Sydney; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother, Alexander.
Cremation has taken place; and at her request, a memorial service will not take place at this time.
