Miller, Mary Isabelle – 76, Shubenacadie.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife and mother, Mary, on August 8, 2011.
Mom was born on January 28, 1935, in Port Hood, and later settled in Shubenacadie upon meeting her husband and lifetime companion, Colin. Mary was a long time member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #111, Shubenacadie, and the Catholic Women’s Club.
Mom was a wonderful mother who loved to bake and take care of her family. She loved to play darts, and enjoyed a competitive game of cards.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Colin: children, Cynthia (Vinnie) Toney; Thomas; Marie; Colin; Debbie Miller (Sandy MacIntosh); David; grandchildren, Amanda, Katie, Christina, Aimee, Christopher, Shannon, Rebecca; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Violet, Charlene (Francis Sutherland), Evelina (Donald Gillis); brothers, Edward MacDonald, Neil (Karen) MacDonald.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary (MacKinnon) Campbell; brothers, Bernard, John and Stephen.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with funeral service on Thursday, at 2 p.m., both in St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, Shubenacadie, Deacon Wilfred Boudreau officiating. A vigil service will be held at 8 p.m., on Wednesday.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
