Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at the Dr. L. A. Miller Center after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, August 15, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Attwell (2010); parents, Samuel and Isabella Hutchings; brothers: Samuel and Leslie; sisters: Hattie (Best), Mae (Hutchings) and Shirley (Bishop). Leaving to cherish her memories are sons: Brian of Toronto, Jeff (Gail) of Mount Pearl; granddaughters: Jillian and Kayla (Gavin); daughter, Janice (Darrell) of Corner Brook; grandson, Ryan; sister, Netha Taylor of Hamilton; sister-in-law, Mary Hutchings of Corner Brook; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, Tuesday, August 16th from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Thursday, August 18th at The Salvation Army Temple, 101 Torbay Road, St. John's at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place later in Corner Brook.
