SHEASGREEN, EDWARD - The death of Mr. Edward James Sheasgreen husband of Elizabeth (Maltby) Sheasgreen, of Sunny Corner, NB, occurred on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 61. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Isaac and Jeannine (Cormier) Sheasgreen. Edward was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He is a retired Forest Ranger, after 37 Years of service and for the last 2 years has worked at the Big Hole Fishing Camps. He was a volunteer at the Sunny Corner Fire Department and an avid hockey player and also a devoted fan of the Habs and a loving Poppy to his grandchildren. Besides his wife, Edward is survived by: one daughter: Paula Henderson of Miramichi, NB; one son Jeffrey ( Alaina ) of Miramichi, NB and one step-son: Jamie (Linda) Maltby of Nelson, NB; four brothers: Harvey (Patsy) of Sunny Corner, NB; George(Wendy) of Blackville, NB, and twins Richard (Natalie) of Sunny Corner, NB and Robert (Maxine) of Fredericton, NB; seven grandchildren: Jade, Jordan, Alexa, Bailey, Shea, Isaac and Emily and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Edward is predeceased by: one granddaughter Emma.
The Family will receive visitors at Meadows Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank on Friday at 11AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Burial will follow in St Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Red Bank, NB. In Edward’s memory, donations may be made to IWK.
