Often smiling, Kathleen loved life and a good laugh. She was an avid bowler, loved to dance, play cards and darts. Kathleen was a member of Holy Redeemer parish and was formerly a member of St. Augustin’s parish. She was a member of the Pier Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Memory Lane Singers, and was past president of St. Augustin’s CWL. With great appreciation, we thank the angelic staff of 3B of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, who treated Kathleen like family. A special thank you to nurse ‘Momma’, who sneaked Kay extra ice cream. Kathleen loved everyone she came into contact with, and left her mark wherever she went. She will be sadly missed as an exceptional mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Visitation will be held Monday at Sydney Memorial Chapel, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be performed by Rev. Jim Oliver on Tuesday at Holy Redeemer Church at 11 a.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
