Dora Genge

Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on Aug. 12, 2011, Mrs. Dora Genge of Anchor Point, in her 85th year. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime fond and loving memories sons Abe (Jane), Stewart (Dorcas), Doug (Bertha), Montrose (Una), Emanuel (Fiona), Brane (Bill), Marvin (Louise), and Troy (Connie); daughters Buelah (Jake) Caines, and Millicent (Cliff) Moores; sister Agnes Genge, special brother Howard (Susan) Pilgrim, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law George (Renie) Genge, Margaret Sheppard, Pierce Genge, Gagfield Genge, and Joanna Sinnicks; also including 18 grandchildren and 26 great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Emanuel, parents Henry and Effie, father-in-law Arthur and mother-in-law Sarah, 12 biological sisters, one brother, special sister Effie, one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and one great grandson. Visitation was held at the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the funeral service took place at 11 a.m. on Aug. 15, with Rev. Cannon Hubert Vallis and Layreader Tryphena Vallis officiating. Burial immediately followed the service at the St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
