HEFFERN, Gilbert Dara – It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the sudden passing of Gilbert on Saturday, August 13, 2011 while he was vacationing in Ireland. Predeceased by his father Eliol Heffern (1994). Leaving to mourn with cherished memories the love of his life, his devoted wife, Judy; mother, Evelyn; sisters: Juanita (Ian), Phyllis (Dave), Bernice (Tom); sister-in-law Jeanette (Bud); brother-in-law Robert (Marjorie); nieces: Heather (Neil), Marie (Greg) and Jeanna; nephews: Robert (Scott), Ryan (Angela), Scott, Morgan, and Liam; and a large circle of relatives, friends, and colleagues both in Newfoundland and Ontario. Resting at Oram’s Funeral Home, Eastport on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21 from St. Stephen’s Church, Salvage.
