September 10, 1936 – August 30, 2011. Passed away suddenly Aug. 30, 2011, William Whelan (Willie) of Colliers, age 74 years. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Ellen Whelan; brother Jim and sister Frances. Leaving to mourn his wife of 49 years Bernice (Wade); daughters: Neacey and Sandra (Tracey); and son Alfie; one brother Frank and two sisters: Mary Dunn and Agnes Costigan. His special Canine buddy Beathovan. Also special neighbors John and Marg Hann and Harold and Maureen Noseworthy and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Conway's Funeral Home Conception Harbour Thursday 12 noon to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, Friday 11 am to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Church Colliers. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
